Today’s Topics:
1) This episode focuses on the Precepts of the Catholic Church, why we need to follow them, and how we should also go the extra mile to become Saints. Speaking of miles, Mark and Greg reflect on the last couple of weeks, which were extremely busy for the Knights as we close out the Columbian year and start a new one,
2) The first precept of the Catholic Church is attendance at Mass each Sunday and every Holy Day of Obligation. While this is the minimum requirement, we should all strive to attend Mass as frequently as possible. Daily prayer and reading the Gospel of the day, should be another goal for every Catholic as we continue growing in our Faith,
3) In this segment, the focus is on the second precept, you shall confess your sins at least once a year. This is essential to prepare ourselves for the reception of Holy Communion. Men, in particular, should hold each other to account, in a charitable manner. We should “love one another” enough to help each other stay on the path to sainthood,
4) The third precept, Reception of the Holy Eucharist at least once a year during the Easter Season, is at the center of the Catholic Faith. The Real Presence is at the heart of our Faith and therefore reception of the Holy Eucharist should be paramount to the faithful but should be desired as often as possible. The last two precepts will be covered in the next episode.
