19 Jul 22 – The Lying Rhetoric of the Abortion Movement

Today’s Topics:

1) Gospel – MT 12:46-50 – For whoever does the will of My heavenly Father is My brother, and sister, and mother.

Bishop Sheen quote of the day

2) Viral pro-abortion narrative unravels –  Abortionist Caitlin Bernard recently told a story about a 10-year-old rape victim whom-life laws would “traumatize” by “forcing” her to give birth. The story went viral among pro-abortion commentators. But now, Bernard “is under fire for either making up this story or not reporting a child rape to authorities, which she is required to do as a mandated reporter,” PJ Media reports. “Failure to do so could result in Bernard losing her medical license.” Additionally, further digging revealed that Bernard has allegedly failed to report other rape cases in the past

3) The new meaning of “My body, my choice” –  According to strategists, the slogan “My body, my choice” is no longer polling well with Democrats because of its association with opposition to vaccine mandates. “It’s a really savvy co-option of reproductive rights and the movement’s framing of the issue,” said Lisa Ikemoto, a law professor at the University of California-Davis Feminist Research Institute. “It strengthens the meaning of choice in the anti-vaccine space and detracts from the meaning of that word in the reproductive rights space

4) Connecting the old and young – Saint John Paul II said that older men and women play a role in “the continuity of the generations” by their “charism of bridging the gap.” With an increasing ratio of elderly to young people, there are many opportunities for older generations to connect with the younger, passing down stories, wisdom, and companionship. Here are some great ways to connect the old with the young:
