28 Mar 22 – The Incarnation and Annunciation with Fr. David Guzman, OCD

Today’s Topics:

1)  On March 25th the Church celebrates the Incarnation and the Annunciation.  This year Pope Francis called upon the world to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  The Incarnation is the union of divinity with humanity in Jesus Christ, Jesus is fully God and fully human.  The Annunciation is the angel Gabriel’s announcement to the Virgin Mary of the Incarnation.  Consecration is “the act of separating something from a common to a sacred use, ritual dedication to God,”

2)  Father David Guzman, OCD, is introduced and begins to tell the story of how he was born a Carmelite but his path to the priesthood was not a straight line, filled with many distractions,

3)  Father David continues his story of how his path to the priesthood was starting to become more focused although he didn’t recognize it himself,

4) Father David concludes his story of becoming a Carmelite friar and starts his story of becoming a Knight of Columbus.
