4) Two Bishops in need of correction – Cardinal George Pell said the Vatican should correct two senior European bishops for rejecting the Church’s teaching on homosexuality. Jesuit Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich of Luxembourg and Bishop Georg Bätzing of Limburg have both called for changes to the teaching in recent interviews. Cardinal Pell said the Catholic Church is “not a loose federation where different national synods or gatherings and prominent leaders are able to reject essential elements of the Apostolic Tradition and remain undisturbed.”
